About

Since opening its doors in 1951, the Miami-Dade County Auditorium (MDCA) has served as the center for showcasing the diversity of South Florida’s cultural life and as a hub for celebrating the Hispanic/Latino arts community. MDCA’s core mission is to present outstanding multi-cultural arts events of the highest caliber for the enjoyment of Miami’s residents and visitors while at the same time cultivating the creative voices of local artists. MDCA offers three dynamic presentation styles: a 2,372-seat theatre that can host major dance, theatre and music performances; a Mid-Stage Theatre which can accommodate up to 450 patrons and is well-suited for small concerts, dance and theatre presentations; and the 225-seat On.Stage Black Box Theatre, a studio theatre in which both the audience and performers share the stage of the Auditorium. The Award Winning On.Stage Black Box has quickly become a popular venue for innovative and often cutting edge shows presented in collaboration with local artists.
