The Dolly Hand Cultural Arts Center (DHCAC) is a 466-seat theatre located at Palm Beach State College in Belle Glade. Since its opening in April 1982, the Center has been dedicated to providing the residents and visitors of the communities around Lake Okeechobee with cultural, educational and entertaining programs through a variety of offerings that include drama, music, dance, lecture forums, festivals and art exhibits.
The theatre presents programs that have been selected for variety and excellence and are designed to reach out to the culturally diverse Glades area’s residents and visitors. In addition to the DHCAC’s annual professional guest artist series, the Center offers a family series as well as programming for local school children through the CAFE (Cultural Arts for Education) Series, serving over 15,000 students per year.
