The Friends of Boca Grande Community Center is a non-profit organization that provides a variety of educational, cultural, recreational and entertainment programs to the Boca Grande community. Located in southwest Florida on a barrier island (no traffic lights or high rises), Boca Grande is home to an amazing group of residents and visitors from all over the world. With education and culture at the forefront, the beaches are popular but the community center is the hub of the island.  As our name suggests, the Friends of Boca Grande supports the community center by planning and carrying out almost all of the programs. Our season runs November to April with January, February and March being our busiest times for programming. Among our offerings, we feature notable musicians, authors, speakers and photographers. Our formats vary from concerts to lectures, classes, study groups, workshops and even travel excursions. The Boca Grande Community Center is also home to the Friends Pavilion, a beautiful outdoor theatre with professional sound and lighting equipment. With no fixed seating – the lawn is ideal for outdoor concerts with golf carts, beach chairs and blankets or let us set-up tables and chairs with a dance floor for an unforgettable evening of “Dancing Under the Stars”.
